Not only is fishing an important industry in Asilah, fish is also a specialty at many of the restaurants in town. Every visitor to Asilah should take advantage of the opportunity to taste some of the fresh local catch.

A trip down to the harbor is a great way to see the wide variety of fresh fish and seafood caught everyday. If you fancy cooking some up yourself, 4pm is a good time to go. Alternatively, you can wait for a fresh delivery brought into town in the evenings (sold in front of Bab Homar). Sword fish, hake and sole are usually available.

Alternatively, La Place, Casa Garcia and El Espigon restaurants serve great fresh fish dishes everyday and Casa Pepe almost always has a seafood paella on the menu.
