The first edition of the International Youth Festival of Popular Arts began on Saturday evening in Asilah, and continues until June 14, with the participation of art troupes from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Indonesia and Senegal, in addition to Morocco.
The event aims to promote folk arts and contribute, through art and culture, to building relationships, friendship and cooperation. This festival is a new event in the cultural calendar of the city of Asilah, alongside such International Cultural Moussem of Asilah, and in addition to folk art performances, the festival will include by conferences and round tables on culture and folk arts and their role in tourism development.
